THE HILLSIDE CHRONICLES
WHAT IS THE HILLSIDE CHRONICLES?
An original theater production written and produced by House of Cards VA's senior resident artist Joshua D. Harris. This play focuses on themes of racial prejudice, aggressive policing, and discrimination all rooted in the pursuit of higher education by African American students. The Hillside Chronicles premiered last February at Brightpoint Community College and will return on stage this Summer.

WHO IS JOSHUA D. HARRIS?
Nicknamed the “Internet’s Busiest Boyfriend” Joshua has been performing melodic hip hop and RnB under the alias Dai Dream and has amassed a core following in Richmond’s underground music scene. Before music however his heart has always belonged to the theater; writing and performing in leading and supporting roles during his time as a theater major at John Tyler Community College (now known as Bright Point Community College). His hope is that he can use theater as a way to shine light on conversations such as racism, mental health, and humanity.
WHAT MAKES THIS SHOW SPECIAL?
THE HILLSIDE CHRONICLES is a 100% locally produced show, with all of it's production budget and funding coming from donations of community patrons and small business.
