About the event
Langston Is My Man, an original play written and directed by Derome Scott Smith, executive producers include Virginia Union University's Rick St. Peter, Pine Camp's Myron Clack, House of Cards VA's Joshua D. Harris, and The Critical Race Theatre Project's Sharalyn Garrard.
For three days the Pine Camp Cultural Arts Center Theatre will be transformed into 1920's Harlem. Inviting audiences to allow their imaginations to board the A Train and be transported into the vibrant world of the Harlem Renaissance, where an unforgettable ensemble of characters gathers at the legendary Smalls Paradise. Through jazz, blues, tap dance, storytelling, and Hughes’ poetry, they introduce us to a community alive with ambition, romance, humor, hardship, and dreams.

Ticket purchase includes entry for 1 adult attendee for Langston Is My Man. Doors open at 7pm, show starts at 7:30pm. Estimated run time is 1 hour and 20 minutes with a 15 minute intermission.
