PINE CAMP JOURNEY PROGRAM
THE JOURNEY PROGRAM IS A JOB READINESS PROGRAM THAT USES THEATER AS A BACKDROP TO PROVIDE STUDENTS BETWEEN THE AGES OF 13-17 LIFE SKILLS AND GUIDES THEM ON THE PATH TO BECOMING OUR SOCIETY'S NEXT GREAT LEADERS. THIS PROGRAM IS DIRECTED BY MYRON CLACK AND ROCHELLE TURNAGE.

FOUNDED IN 2019 BY BROTHERS JOSHUA & JUSTIN HARRIS. THIS MULTI-FACETED PRODUCTION COMPANY HAS PRODUCED OVER A DOZEN LIVE PERFORMANCE CONCERTS, PLAYS, AND EVENTS IN THE RICHMOND AREA INCLUDING RICHMOND'S 1ST ANNUAL BLACK THEATRE FESTIVAL ON AUGUST 3-4!
MEET THE CURRATOR
JOSHUA D. HARRIS
JOSHUA IS A WRITER, DIRECTOR, PRODUCER, MUSICIAN, AND PLAYWRIGHT FROM RICHMOND,VA. HE IS THE COFOUNDER AND CURRENT PRESIDENT OF HOUSE OF CARDS VA ONE OF THE LARGEST INDEPENDENT THEATER PRODUCTION COMPANIES IN RICHMOND, VA. SINCE 2019, JOSHUA HAS CURRATED OVER A DOZEN LIVE EVENTS IN RICHMOND AND HAS MAINTENED HIS POSITION AS THE BUSIEST MAN IN THEATER, WRITING AND PRODUCING ON MORE THAN 10 ORIGINAL WORKS SINCE WINTER OF LAST YEAR!

TARNIKA EDMUNDS
Tarnika Edmunds, a native from Richmond, VA, began performing spoken word at the young age of 12 years old. Through her art, she created a platform for voices that were once silenced to be heard that may have faced similar adversities as her own. This journey has led her to break down barriers while incorporating her poetic flow to serve God's Kingdom through a means of storytelling. Today, Tarnika stands bold, resilient, and confident, using her talents as a writer, educator, leader, and, most importantly, a communicator of transformation to inspire and shift atmospheres.

LESLIE~SIMPLIEME
Leslie, SimplieME, is a Spoken Word Artist, published author and a Motivational Speaker. SHe has been writing poetry since the age of 13 and was ushered into the ministry of Spoken Word after the unexpected death of her first husband, Eron Johnson, in February of 2009. Since that time, she has been walking in her gift and calling of Spoken Word, ushering all those who listen into the presence of God as she speaks words that come directly from the Throne Room. Leslie has been a guest on Richmond Local TV shows such as The Game Changer and Healing, Love, Forgiveness. She was also a featured Author on The Sharvette Mitchell Radio Show. Her first book, Lines of Love; Love’s Heartbeat was published in 2012 through Kingdom Publishing Group out of Richmond VA and her Sophomore project, Sunday Mornings at Mount Gilead , was also completed and also published through KPG in 2018. She continues to use her gift of Spoken Word to minister at various venues in the Richmond, VA area and on occasion has the opportunity take her ministry gift outside of the RVA area as well. Leslie is a retired Army Veteran who retired in 2013 after 17 years of honorably serving her country. She currently resides in Chesterfield, VA where she is a mother to three outstanding sons and one fabulous daughter, a wife to an amazing husband and she has just recently been promoted to the position of Nana and is embracing seeing life through the eyes of her 2 grandchildren.

MEET THE DIRECTOR
ANDREW CHI NGUYEN
Andrew Chi Nguyen is a Vietnamese-American writer, director and editor who recently graduated from the VCUarts Cinema program. His recent works include a mockumentary mini-series, a 48-hour film project, and a handful of shorts. His films have been screened at the Richmond International Film Festival and collectively garnered over 200,000 views on YouTube.
